MONDAY, 27TH MAY

You will be met by one of our friendly team at the arranged meeting point and transferred to Lago Iseo. On arrival there will be plenty of time to meet other guests, have a bike fit before we plan an afternoon ride.

Rest day for the Giro but an opportunity for clients to enjoy the delights of one of the most unspoilt areas of Italy. We will again be offering two routes for riders. The first a magical and relatively flat ride around beautiful Lake Iseo and Franciacorte wine region. The other a more challenging day that includes 100km and Morirolo. Today is a day to spot the riders who will be riding around Lake Iseo. We have special treat and surprise for only our guests. Wait and see on this!

Dinner will be served in the award winning hotel restaurant and we welcome those joining us on the shorter 7-day tour.

TUESDAY, 28TH MAY

This morning we will enjoy the stage start in Lovere before transferring you to Ponte di Legno. From here clients will have time to change in to cycling gear before climbing one of the most famous climbs in the world Passo Gavia

The Cima Coppi of this year’s tour offers fantastic viewpoints overlooking the Alps. Once the last riders have passed you will descend back to Ponte di Legno to our meeting point where once again you will have the opportunity to shower and change and position yourself at the finish line to watch the final meters of the Queen stage of this years Giro.  This evening we will enjoy a Pizza evening in Val di Sole hand made by the most Italian Canadian you have ever met!

WEDNESDAY, 29TH MAY

This morning we explore the partenza village and expo and watch the riders warm up before the Stage 17 kicks-off.  This will incorporate a 40km relatively flat riding loop. On arrival back at the hotel clients will have time to change and have lunch. As always there will be an option for stronger riders to enjoy a more challenging ride of 120km to a next hotel in Moena!

The transfer to Moena is two hours and on arrival clients can enjoy the facilities of the bar and the splendid terrazzo overlooking the Dolomites. Those wishing to watch the Giro stage can do so in the TV room.

Moena itself is a fabulous town and well worth exploring. This evening clients are free to enjoy the Moena discovering for themselves why this is one of the most beautiful tows in the Dolomites.

THURSDAY, 30TH MAY

We do things differently. As Giro stages go today is amongst the most boring in recent memory! 220km of manly downhill will result in the inevitable sprint that Viviani will win (maybe). So we have decided to give our clients an extra treat and ride the most spectacular 55km’s in arguably the world.

For cycling fans Sella Ronda will need no introduction.  Steeped in both professional and amateur folklore it is these mountains that millions of people come to walk, climb and ride each year. This is simply too good of an opportunity to be missed. Daniele has planned two routes that offer varying degrees of challenge.

This evening dinner will be enjoyed in the hotel restaurant.

FRIDAY, 31ST MAY

An exciting day lies ahead for both those on and off the bike. Riders can look forward to a relatively flat start to the day as you ride south through Val di Fassa. The only climb of the day is a relatively ‘easy’ ascent to San Martino di Castrozza.

We will be climbing the opposite side to the Giro, which means we will have the mountain to ourselves. On arrival at the summit you will have a chance to enjoy VIP hospitality at the finish line. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles whilst watching the fight for pink.

Both riders and non-riders will be transferred back to Moena for dinner in the best pizza restaurant in Val di Fassa.

SATURDAY, 1ST JUNE

Arguably the most important stage in this years Giro d’Italia. Four tough climbs with the final climb to Monte Avena. We’ll be sure to see the main contenders for the pink jersey attack their rivals. Our day starts with an early departure from Moena and a transfer to Feltre.

We have planned the day so clients can enjoy both the stage start and finish. We will be riding to Monte Avena from Feltre arriving at the summit with plenty of time in hand to watch the riding fight for the pink jersey.

After watching the final stage clients will have the opportunity to take pictures of the podium before we transfer to one of Italy’s most romantic cities, Verona.

SUNDAY, 2ND JUNE

This morning we have arranged for you to have a magical sunrise ride. Leaving at 6am for those interested, enjoy a short ride through historic Verona. We will arrive with plenty of time in hand to join our walking tour of Verona organised for all clients.

The afternoon you will be free to enjoy the final stage, which will finish in Verona Arena. Arguably the most beautiful setting there has ever been for a grand tour final stage. Our hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the arena and offers a great location who wish to mix viewing the final stage with relaxing in the hotel spa.

We have organised a wonderful dinner to celebrate our final evening together in a favourite restaurant in Verona. An opportunity for new friends to exchange numbers and recall stories of a great times following the Giro d’Italia.
